Who we are looking for:
Phoenix Tailings is looking for an experienced Corporate Finance Analyst to lead high-impact financial analyses and provide strategic insights that drive major decisions across our operations, investments, and fundraising initiatives. You will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategy as we scale clean critical metals production to power the technologies of today and tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, own, and refine complex financial models for scenario planning, operational forecasting, and capital strategy evaluation
  • Lead valuation analyses for strategic initiatives, joint ventures, new facilities, and growth investments
  • Analyze business performance, operational KPIs, and cost structures to drive continuous improvement and margin optimization
  • Develop clear, data-driven financial presentations for the executive team, board of directors, and current/potential investors
  • Drive strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment between financial forecasts and operational goals
  • Evaluate capital allocation strategies to optimize deployment of funds across R&D, production scaling, and commercialization initiatives
  • Monitor market dynamics, commodity pricing, and economic trends to inform financial planning and risk management
  • Oversee and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages and management dashboards
  • Partner closely with leadership to support fundraising processes, including preparation of investor materials and diligence analyses

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative field; MBA or CFA designation preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or financial consulting roles
  • Proven expertise in building and managing detailed financial models for strategic planning and investment decision-making
  • Strong understanding of valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, and capital markets dynamics
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present financial insights to executive and board-level stakeholders
  • Highly analytical with superior attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
  • Deep intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and passion for building the financial foundation of an industry-transforming company
