Your mandate as an intern:
Your mandate will consist of carrying out mechanical designs, producing technical drawings, plans, and 3D models. You will also be responsible for preparing the technical documentation required for transformer manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Analyze specifications and standards for products defined in specifications, and ensure compliance with national standards (e.g., CSA, ANSI).
- Using a design station and computer-assisted drawings, create mechanical designs and 3D models for products.
- Submit plans and overall drawings to the engineer in charge of the department for verification and approval.
- Modify plans and overall drawings, if necessary, according to specifications.
- Produce and check detailed drawings and technical documentation required for manufacturing.
- Verify the quality and conformity of manufactured products, internal as well as visiting external sites and vendors.
- Answer production questions and contribute to problem-solving.
Qualifications
We are looking for:
- University student in mechanical engineering.
- Mastery of microcomputers, knowledge of Windows and experience in computer-aided mechanical design in Autodesk software (Inventor and AutoCAD).
- Good knowledge of LISP and VB.net programming languages are an asset.
- Functional bilingualism (English and French) is desirable.
- Attention to detail and precision, organizational skills, and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
