Do you want to make a delicious difference?

Planet A Foods is for people who want to change the future of food.

We are reinventing how the world produces food ingredients, replacing scarce and unsustainable raw materials with scalable, clean, and delicious alternatives. Our first product, a cocoa-free chocolate, is just the beginning. Our ambition is to build a new global champion in food ingredients.

At Planet A Foods, you'll join a bold, highly committed, international team of scientists, engineers, operators, and industry experts united by one goal: creating real, measurable planetary impact.

This role offers real accounting ownership from day one, not just filing and data entry. As a Junior Accounting Manager, you will build your accounting foundation hands-on, supporting our full bookkeeping cycle while contributing to the automation and process improvement work that keeps Planet A Foods running efficiently. You will work closely with our CFO and Lead FP&A, gaining direct exposure to finance operations in a fast-moving food tech environment and growing into a reliable pillar of the team.

A Taste of What to Expect

  • Support monthly and annual financial closures, learning the end-to-end close process with exposure to consolidation workflows
  • Own full-cycle bookkeeping (AP/AR/GL) and contribute by implementing smart workflows that eliminate manual entry
  • Participate in ERP system projects from an accounting perspective, shadowing implementation work and gradually owning tasks
  • Streamline VAT and tax reporting through integrated system logic and digital filing interfaces, replacing manual processes with automated compliance
  • Design and manage payment workflows to optimize cash flow, enhance customer experience, and maintain operational bank relations
  • Support the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with internal stakeholders as needed

The Perfect Recipe of Skills & Experience

  • Education in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in Startups, Scaleups or Consulting
  • Exposure to the implementation of an accounting or ERP system is a strong plus
  • Basic knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB/German GAAP) and DATEV familiarity
  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI workflows and process optimization
  • Reliable, detail-oriented and ability to work independently
  • Full professional fluency in German and English

A Sweet Package

  • Full autonomy to build, experiment, and shape how a trillion-dollar industry operates
  • A very competitive compensation and opportunity to grow
  • Collaborate with a passionate international team working at the edge of what's possible
  • Work in one of the rare food startups that truly scales and operates a 24/7 4-shift production system
  • A position where you can shape how a trillion-dollar business communicates
  • Stuff that other startups do as well (30 days vacation, tasty lunches, snacks, drinks, vouchers, gym...)
  • PLUS: Chocolate. Every. Single. Day.
