About Plug

Plug is the only wholesale platform built exclusively for used electric vehicles. Designed for dealers and commercial consignors, Plug combines EV-specific data, systems and expertise to bring clarity and confidence to the wholesale buying and selling process. With the addition of Trade Desk™, dealers can quickly receive cash offers or list EV trade-ins directly into the auction, removing friction and maximizing returns. By replacing outdated wholesale methods with tools tailored to EVs, Plug empowers dealers to make faster and more profitable decisions with a partner they can trust. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations, the Operations Supervisor will own Plug’s end-to-end auction and trade-in workflows and lead our growing Operations Coordinator team. You’ll set daily priorities, refine processes, and jump in to solve problems before they escalate—all while collaborating with Sales, Product, Finance and Customer Success to deliver an industry-leading experience for buyers and sellers of used EVs.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Develop the Team

  • Coach, mentor and performance-manage Operations Coordinators; create schedules and balance workloads to hit SLAs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and customer-centricity.

Run Day-to-Day Operations

  • Oversee dealer onboarding, vehicle verification, listings, payments, title processing, transport dispatching, arbitration, and optional services. Stepping in to resolve edge cases and escalations.
  • Track KPIs (cycle time, error rate, dwell, turn) and drive improvement projects that boost speed, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Document and refine SOPs; automate repetitive tasks with internal tools, AI, or third-party integrations.

Partner Cross-Functionally

  • Act as the operations owner in product sprints, supplying data-driven feedback to enhance our auction and Trade Desk™ program.
  • Work with Sales to ensure a seamless hand-off from quote to listing, and with accounting to reconcile payments and maintain compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors (transport, title, floorplan partners) and negotiate SLAs.

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in HubSpot, our inventory system and BI dashboards; deliver weekly insights to leadership.
  • Forecast capacity needs and make informed hiring or process recommendations.
What You’ll Bring
  • 3–5+ years in operations, logistics or program management, with 1+ years leading a team in a startup, automotive, logistics or marketplace setting.
  • Hands-on knowledge of automotive wholesale processes—or a demonstrated ability to master complex, regulated workflows quickly.
  • Fluency with operational tech stacks: CRMs (HubSpot), G-Suite/Excel, and ideally SQL or Looker/Tableau.
  • Proven track record of building SOPs and automating workflows to reduce errors and boost efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A passion for accelerating EV adoption and delivering world-class customer experiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with floorplan financing, dealership operations or vehicle remarketing.
  • Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous-improvement certification.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow tools or basic scripting.
