ABOUT THE ROLE

As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and operational excellence of our OPM software company. You will oversee all aspects of business operations, including sales and marketing, product management, development, professional services, and customer support, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Most importantly, a big part of this role will be driving pipeline, opportunity development and growth. This position reports to the Chief Strategy Officer.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the company's strategic plan in alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
    • Lead the identification of market opportunities, trends, and competitive threats.
    • Drive innovation in product development and technology adoption to maintain our competitive edge.
  2. Sales and Marketing:
    • Personally – and with the team – drive pipeline and opportunities for bookings attainment.
    • Drive sales growth strategies and oversee sales operations to expand market share.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic partners.
  3. Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and scalability.
    • Implement effective processes and policies across all functional areas.
    • Monitor financial performance and manage budgets to achieve financial targets.
  4. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports and team members.
    • Promote professional growth and development opportunities for employees.
  5. Customer Focus:
    • Ensure a customer-centric approach in all aspects of the business.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement initiatives to enhance customer experience.
    • Address customer feedback and issues promptly and effectively.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact business operations or reputation.

Key Competencies required:

          • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience will be considered
          • Proven experience as a GM or similar executive role in the industrial automation software industry.
          • Demonstrated success in sales as a key component of this role.
          • Experience in consulting company is highly preferred.
          • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
          • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business results and fostering innovation.
