ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Production Technician / Engineer with a basic understanding

of renewable energy systems (Solar, Wind, Storage plants) to complete our dynamic global team. As a part of the Controls & Grid Integration team, your mission is to build SCADA systems in our production facility in Vermont. You will work closely with our Engineers, Project Managers, and Administrative staff to ensure the successful deployment of SCADA systems.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Using the SCADA electrical design package and customer specifications for reference, assemble the automation panels and cabinets, as well as other sub-assemblies.
  • Perform panel wiring and system wiring, including installation of conduits and wireways.
  • Configuration of automation and data acquisition devices including IPCs, remote I/Os, network switches, meters, cellular modems, sensors, etc.
  • Using established procedures for “Power up and Test”, perform power up, electrical testing and troubleshooting of the assembled SCADA system. Repair and/or replace defective components of the system as required. Perform Factory Acceptance Tests of assembled equipment before shipment.
  • Establish and maintain procedural documentation.
  • Assist in providing status of completion information to maintain project progress status.
  • Examine the levels of supplies and material to determine shortages.
  • Perform analysis to predict potential inventory problems.
  • Support team members with a variety of tasks, including shipping and freight logistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:

  • Electrical or Electronic Engineer Degree (AS/ΤΕΙ/Technical School or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge of electrical designs, digital and analog signals and wiring
  • Experience with PLCs, Automation units, I/O devices, and their assemblies
  • Good understanding of SCADA applications
  • Basic knowledge of communications and Local Ethernet/IP Networks
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and office programs including Google Workspace, MS Office
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Exhibits a positive and professional attitude.
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Able to lift and carry packages or objects up to 80lbs.
  • In-office position. Physical presence in the office workplace is required.
