Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join Powin's dynamic Finance & Accounting team. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization and supporting our mission to revolutionize energy storage solutions. Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable, the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Job Details:

  • Process full-cycle accounts payable transactions, including both purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices; process payments in a timely manner, adhering to payment terms
  • Verify invoice accuracy, obtain appropriate approvals, and ensure correct coding
  • Resolve discrepancies and communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Set up and maintain vendor information in the ERP system
  • Review vendor statements regularly and follow up on any missing invoices
  • Collaborate with vendors to reconcile complex accounts and resolve issues
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships through professional communication
  • Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies
  • Assist in managing all company-issued credit cards
  • Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
  • Prepare accurate and timely accounts payable reports
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support the annual external audit process by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounts payable processes and increase efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience; project-based accounting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse, fast-paced environment
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
