Why Powin for your Internship?
The Electrical Engineer internship provides a unique chance to work on cutting-edge energy storage technology, contributing to the development of renewable energy. Interns will be involved in 3D design, schematics design, power systems studies, and internal process development and collaborating with experienced professionals. The position emphasizes hands-on learning and making impactful contributions to Powin, including assisting with New Product Introduction (NPI) issues during the pilot build of new products.
Job Duties:
- Assist the electrical engineering team with 3D design, schematics design, power systems studies, and internal process development
- Assist in the creation arc flash, short circuit, and transient analysis studies for Powin’s products
- Create an auxiliary load calculation tool
- Assist with NPI issues that arise during new product pilot build
- Assist in identifying correct standards and selecting electrical equipment
Qualifications:
- Currently working towards an Electrical Engineering degree is preferred
- Coursework or work experience in power systems, three phase power analysis
- Familiarity with NEC, UL, and IEC electrical standards
- Experience with MATLAB, SolidWorks, or ETAP preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills desired for effective teamwork
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate and efficient task execution, contributing to project success
- Ability to communicate clearly to international team members
