Summary:
The Senior Reliability Engineer will be managing asset reliability risks, monitoring production losses and high-maintenance cost assets and finding ways to reduce them. You will be determining stress-life relationships and creating accelerated life test fixtures located in Tualatin, OR, or potentially in the future, in other domestic or international locations. The Senior Reliability Engineer is heavily involved in creating and presenting test plans and reports to internal or external groups and customers, as well as coordinating with Service, Repair, and Manufacturing groups to establish data reporting that supports reliability and failure rate analyses.
Job Duties:
- Evaluate reliability of existing programs through extensive data analysis of components through a reliability lens. Develop failure rates for components and failure rate tracking at a large scale across the fleet
- Develop reliability models and perform risk analysis in Weibull or JMP to build life test programs. Drive Design for Reliability (DFR) initiatives with design teams
- Create Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to support component and subassembly/subsystem/system qualification.
- Design reliability test profiles including environment test, HALT, HASS, ALT, and other test methodologies for the analysis of hardware components and sub-assemblies
- Execute various electrical and mechanical tests and analyze test data. Visualize this data for relevant quality, design, and engineering teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of Reliability Engineering experience, with expertise in lithium-ion battery systems, battery management systems, data servers, electric vehicles, or other related industries
- Experience with Python, SQL, and Databricks, including proficiency in data analysis and visualization
- Familiarity with various electrical and mechanical tests, including the use of electronic test equipment including DMM, Oscilloscopes, DAQs, HiPot testers, and ESD/EMI/EMC testing tools.
- Familiarity with Test Chambers and Equipment related to HTHH, TC, Shock&Vibe, Drop, and similar tests
- Experience with JMP and Weibull and related Reliability & Lifetime analysis
- Experience with accelerated life test design, including HALT and HASS
- Experience with fixture design and construction, including software control and data collections (DAQ).
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across levels and functions
- Strong customer and client service skills
- Experience working with international teams and contract manufacturers
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support international teams

Compensation for this position is commensurate with location, experience and relevant skills. The national Average Base Salary Range is $106,000-$138,600. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and personal performance.
