Job Description: Project Canary is seeking an Assembly Operator for a 3-month contract position. As an Assembly Operator, you will play a crucial role in assisting with engineering and design tasks, including failure root cause analysis, manufacturing process development, prototype development, and testing. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing these tasks, providing feedback, and suggesting alternatives to increase efficiency.

The Assembly Operator will be responsible for the following tasks under the supervision of the Manufacturing Manager:

  • Calibrate sensors.
  • Assemble prototype units.
  • Assist with prototype production line tasks.
  • Provide feedback on assembly processes.
  • Validate assembly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with general non-design-related tasks.
  • Rework existing units.
  • Test field implementations.
  • Interface with field technicians.

Requirements:

  • Experience in handling ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) sensitive electronics.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment, such as Digital Multimeters (DMM).
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Proficiency in power tool operation, cutting tools, and torque wrench usage.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds multiple times throughout the day.
  • Capability to stand for 4+ hours at a time.
  • $21-$23 dollars per hour.
  • 40 hours per week
  • 3 month contract
