About the Role – You will:

  • Lead and coordinate the NPI process for new battery parts, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of NPI activities.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements. Monitor and drive progress to meet key milestones and objectives.
  • Identify potential risks during the NPI process and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Assess manufacturing readiness including capacity planning, equipment qualification, process validation, and supplier readiness.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, issues, and risks. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements throughout the NPI process

  • This position will be part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) Team and Change Management that supports Proterra’s Battery Manufacturing and Engineering operations in Greenville, SC.
  • You will report to the Director of Operational Excellence and collaborate with other Engineering team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and manufacturing facilities in Greer, SC

About You:

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and act with complete integrity.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and diligent
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work with a high workload with interruptions and deadlines in an open environment.

Your Experience Includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in program management within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of battery technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
