Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.
The Engineering team at Rainmaker works on our UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ/remote sensing systems. As a signal processing algorithm engineer at Rainmaker, you will analyze, modify and tune current algorithms as well as design and implement new features. Additional responsibilities include: - Investigating new technologies, prototyping concepts, evaluating user impact, and delivering products - Data collection and analysis
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop, model, and test algorithms related to Radar, Lidar and Infrared
- Analyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trends
- Develop novel and advanced algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis - using simulated and real data in both time series and spectral domains
- Participate in lab-based and field testing
- Support marketing and business development initiatives
- Engage in multiple projects, interacting with Customers as well
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge areas such as digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra and stochastic processes
- Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas
- Must have a complete understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems
- Solid grasp of atmospheric science concepts, principles, and theories, with the ability to apply them to practical testing scenarios
- Proficient in data analysis, test documentation, and reporting; comfortable working with meteorological and UAV-specific software
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously while also being a strong team player in a fast-paced environment
