Program Manager, Trade Compliance
Redwood Materials is seeking a Program Manager, Trade Compliance. This person will report to the Director of Inventory and Operations Planning, and will lead our Global Trade Compliance program. You will be responsible for the import and export of products ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations including tariff classification, country of origin, customs valuation, free trade agreements, export controls and licensing requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop internal programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage customs brokers and work with suppliers and customers to oversee international transactions.
- Advise on proper customs valuations, including annual U.S. Customs reconciliations.
- Act as internal expert on current import and export laws and regulations across the entire spectrum of Redwood Materials.
- Identify cost savings opportunities related to free trade agreements, preferential duty treatment, and other tariff programs.
- Manage, review, and provide guidance regarding International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administrations Regulations (EAR), Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), INCOTERMS, etc. for Redwood Materials personnel on import and/or export related shipments.
- Plan and document all Trade Compliance Policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. export and import regulations.
- Train logistics personnel to create pertinent shipping documents including international transportation and shipping of hazardous materials.
- Act as an initial escalation point for daily trade-related operational challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in related field.
- Licensed Customs Broker required.
- 5+ years’ experience in trade compliance.
- Experience with USMCA and NAFTA analysis.
- Proven knowledge and experience advising on trade agreements/export controls and customs compliance.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
