Engineering Technician, Supplier Quality

Redwood Materials is looking for an Engineering Technician, Supplier Quality to support the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams with the auditing, development, and managing quality processes with a focus on supply chain development. This position will be responsible for ensuring suppliers continue to develop and improve performance in variation and cost reduction while meeting material specifications.

Responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to establish processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high quality.
• Maintain supplier quality and control plans.
• Maintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to root cause solutions.
• Ensure effective and efficient execution of Supplier Corrective Action Request system.
• Work with suppliers to track and trend data.
• Work closely with the WMS/ERP systems to manage incoming products.
• Work on equipment inspection and incoming process audits.
• Work independently to develop SOP’s/SWI’s.
• Sample chemicals/consumables for analysis.
• Analyze and interpret data independently.
• Maintain the incoming risk charted using PFMEAs.

Desired Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in industrial equipment/processes.
• Experience maintaining Supplier Quality Systems.
• Hands-on and detailed oriented approach to problem solving.
• Database experience working with large volume data sets.
• Good computer skills; MS Office, etc.
• Chemical handling experience.
• Chemical laboratory experience.
• Six Sigma or ISO 9001 experience is a plus.

Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 6am to 6pm
