Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

The Site Maintenance Manager leads a team of Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians across various business units. They develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly with minimal downtime and optimal equipment uptime. This role is critical in maintaining the operational availability of manufacturing equipment for both pilot and full-scale production lines.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Guide and motivate Maintenance Supervisors for peak efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate downtime tracking and generate weekly reports.
  • Reduce reactive maintenance and promote proactive approaches.
  • Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance services.
  • Create ongoing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Strategically allocate staffing resources.
  • Manage recruitment, selection, development, and retention.
  • Coach and develop supervisors in team performance reviews and growth plans.
  • Interpret and support policies and procedures.
  • Ensure planners, spares departments, and engineers track critical spares.
  • Track engineering projects via FIIX Work Orders.
  • Ensure site adherence to 5S standards.
  • Maintain communication with other Site Maintenance Managers for ongoing work.
  • Facilitate effective communication with Managers for clarity in pass downs.
  • Collaborate across functions with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations, and Leadership teams.
  • Promote a safety culture.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree and/or trade experience within a manufacturing/production environment or an equivalent combination of education and trade experience is preferred.
  • Extensive maintenance leadership experience in a fast-paced and technically challenging 24/7 environment.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and NFPA 70E practices.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting using blueprints.
  • Experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Strong report-writing abilities, adept at business correspondence, and well-versed in standard work procedures.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking problems, spare parts, and work orders.
  • Electrical trade experience is preferred.

Shift: Sunday-Tuesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Sunday - Tuesday ( every other Wednesday)

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
