Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

System Specialist

Redwood Materials is looking for a System Specialist to support the Mechanical, Process & Piping Engineering teams with the development and improvement of software design and interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate under the guidance of a Design Manager to generate improvements for all teams.
  • Develop interfaces and procedures for document control software (Adept)
  • Develop optimized & automated workflows for design and CAD systems issues.
  • Problem solving small and large tasks for all engineering-based software.
  • Creation of automation for mundane, tedious, and simple tasks.
  • Extend our VR program and build as software changes.
  • Assist in the maintenance of software to help push changes company wide.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of coding experience with CAD programs and document control systems.
  • 5-10 years of design engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, programming
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office proficiency.
  • 3D animations/renderings a plus
  • 3D printing experience a plus

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
