Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will will play a crucial role in focusing on supplier and employee expense through the management and optimization of the company's procurement and expense management systems, with a primary focus on SAP Concur. This role involves providing support to suppliers and employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, and facilitating efficient and accurate processing of expense reports and supplier transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supplier management, SAP Concur, and the procure-to-pay processes.

Responsibilities:

Supplier Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing training on the company’s procurement process and systems.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Collaborate with the procurement and accounts payable teams to resolve discrepancies and improve supplier relations.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

Employee Expense Support

  • Provide technical support and training to internal users on SAP Concur functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of expense reporting and reimbursement processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to expense submissions and reimbursements.

SAP Concur Management

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the SAP Concur system, including user access, system configurations, and policy updates.
  • Generate and analyze reports from SAP Concur to monitor expense trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and integration of SAP Concur data into the company’s ERP system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or expense management, preferably in a large international organization.
  • Proficiency in SAP Concur and other procurement or financial systems.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of other ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced corporate environment.
