About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

  • Work cross functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to assist in budgeting and decision making (e.g. CapEx decisions, expansion plans, automation, manufacturing scope, insource vs. outsource choices, location ROI on investments, resource planning, tracking and reporting on profitability improvement, etc.)
  • Assist on ad hoc projects; provide accurate and timely financial in-depth analysis and key business insights and recommendations on high-impact strategic and financial decisions including growth strategies, scalability, product pricing, and organizational processes, practices, and systems.
  • Lead manufacturing cost improvement for all products, including feedback on estimated manufacturing costs for future programs, identification of focus areas for cost, and execution of identified initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years' increasingly complex experience in financial planning, analysis and operational modeling.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or oil & gas.
  • Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to high-level questions and concepts.
  • Naturally proactive, intellectually curious, and a creative thinker; strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with advanced Excel, complex financial models and financial forecasting software.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally, influence, and communicate with all levels of management in an environment where priorities can change quickly; strong ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
