Senior Planner
The Senior Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling all activities during planned and unplanned shutdowns of the production lines. The successful candidate will apply technical maintenance and construction experience effectively ensure the plans for each shutdown is executed per plan, with different departments all working in lockstep to complete work in a timely fashion. This role will work closely with the maintenance staff, contractors, technical program managers, engineers, and construction employees to ensure the highest level of equipment uptime.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct risk assessments prior to planned shutdown activities to identify and mitigate potential safety concerns and schedule limiters
- Coordinate job plan packages from planners in each department (maintenance, construction, and engineering) to ensure no conflict of equipment, staffing, or space
- Communicate complete job plan schedules to all affected parties using scheduling software
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely shutdown of equipment, and timely handover back to operations for startup
- Continuously monitor and adjust shutdown schedules during each shutdown, and resolve issues that may cause delay in critical path
- Communicate progress relative to schedule during shutdowns to all levels of the organization
- Coordinate and manage any outsourced labor or skills needs
- Produces post-assessment of the shutdown, including successes and improvement opportunities
- Manage up to 5 maintenance planners, responsible for creating job plans and preventive maintenance scheduling on each production line
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing industrial projects, either in a maintenance or construction organization
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience with planning software (Microsoft Project, Wrike, P6, etc.)
- Read/interrupt prints, drawings, and other technical publications
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiar with troubleshooting/repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
