About Redwood Materials

Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Essential Duties:

Redwood Materials is currently recruiting motivated and accomplished Electrical Engineering interns to join our Infrastructure Development team. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Perform electrical assignments with general direction and supervision.
  • Support the development of construction drawings for low voltage (up to 600V) power distribution, one-line diagrams lighting, lighting control, electrical circuits, raceway, grounding, data and communications.
  • Assist in the development of design standards and templates for the electrical engineering department.
  • Assist in maintaining electrical equipment tracker through purchasing, delivery, storage, and installation.
  • Perform site visits to document construction progress and ensure compliance with design drawings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Prior internship or work experience at another firm.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings, single line diagrams, and electrical circuit schedules.
  • Familiarity with using REVIT MEP for electrical design.
  • Familiarity with using Navisworks to view and create clash-free design.
  • Proficiency in using Bluebeam to review, add markups, and create sessions.
  • Prior experience or interest in using SKM to perform short-circuit, arc flash, and circuit breaker coordination study.
  • Self-motivated, hands-on mindset, with a willingness to contribute at all levels.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
