Associate Inventory Control Analyst
The Associate Inventory Control Analyst is an entry-level professional role that supports the inventory management team by ensuring accurate inventory data and assisting with key operational processes. In addition to maintaining data integrity within the Oracle WMS system and supporting cycle count activities, this position is responsible for creating and analyzing reports, identifying trends, and recommending process improvements. The role will actively participate in developing inventory strategies, driving improvement projects, and collaborating with management to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, capable of performing data analysis, and able to manage projects independently with minimal supervision. This position requires exercising discretion and judgment in evaluating inventory processes, proposing enhancements, and supporting strategic initiatives, making it a critical contributor to the overall success of the inventory control function.
Responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Data Management: Maintain accurate inventory records in Oracle WMS, ensuring timely updates for all movements and adjustments to minimize discrepancies.
- Cycle Count Support: Through data analysis, this role will assist in flagging high risk areas and processes to focus cycle count activities on the highest impact areas.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Create and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement; present findings to management for decision-making.
- Process Improvement Projects: Participate in small-scale improvement initiatives by gathering data, evaluating workflows, and recommending enhancements to inventory control processes.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with management to identify and implement system improvements within Oracle WMS to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Assist in drafting and updating inventory control procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to support strategic inventory initiatives and resolve complex issues.
- Independent Project Ownership: Manage assigned projects or tasks with minimal supervision, exercising judgment in prioritizing work and proposing solutions.
- Compliance & Continuous Learning: Ensure adherence to company policies and actively develop skills in inventory analysis, reporting, and project management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude under pressure.
- High school diploma or GED required, associate degree preferred.
- Experience with Oracle WMS and Tableau preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance in line with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, including listening and speaking
Working Conditions:
- Office setting, manufacturing floor
- Required to extended hours as needed
- 10% of the time, occasional travel, or frequent travel for meetings, site visits, or events
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
