Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have.
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining reliable production operations. This position requires an experienced maintenance professional capable of independently troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to support production uptime. The role focuses on diagnosing equipment failures and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment, PLC-controlled systems, robotics, and other automated production machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive, and corrective maintenance support for Redwood’s production facilities and manufacturing equipment
- Identify equipment failure modes, perform root cause troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions
- Respond to corrective and unplanned maintenance requests for production and facility systems while minimizing downtime and maintaining safe operations
- Perform welding and metal fabrication to support repair and reinforcement of production equipment
- Review shift pass-downs and communicate equipment status, ongoing repairs, and operational concerns
- Record daily production metrics, key equipment data, and downtime events to support operational tracking and reliability improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS, Operations to support equipment performance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical production equipment
- Hands-on experience working with 480 VAC and lower voltage electrical systems, including wiring, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial electrical control cabinets
- Experience with TIG or MIG welding for equipment repair
- Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic preferred
- Experience working in accordance with NEC electrical codes and NFPA 70E electrical safety practices
- Ability to recognize early indicators of equipment failure and proactively address reliability risks
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies and industry standards
- Effective communication with engineers and production managers regarding equipment issues, root causes, and solutions

Shift
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Sunday–Tuesday plus every other Wednesday (10% differential)
Physical Requirements:
- Completion of a respiratory fit test and medical evaluation required.
- Position requires standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Work performed in industrial conditions that may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes for extended periods.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
