Administrative Human Resources Assistant
Location: Richmond, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week | Standard Business Hours
Pay: $17-$22/hour
A well-established manufacturing company in the Richmond, IN area is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative HR Assistant to support the Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administrative work, employee interaction, and coordinating day-to-day HR activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll work closely with the HR Manager to help keep daily operations running smoothly while serving as a key point of communication between the office and the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department
- Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications
- Assist with interview preparation and onboarding activities
- Maintain HR documents, spreadsheets, and employee records
- Create and update reports using Microsoft Excel
- Manage calendars, Outlook email communications, and meeting scheduling
- Communicate with employees throughout the facility regarding HR-related matters
- Occasionally visit the production floor to locate employees or assist with day-to-day communication
- Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED
- Previous administrative experience required
- Prior HR or Human Resources support experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
