Key Responsibilities

Motor Design & Integration

  • Expertise in motor integration, design, and packaging for electric vehicle applications
  • Develop 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks/CATIA)
  • Perform DFMEA, tolerance stack-up analysis, and GD&T for motor-related components
  • Ensure seamless motor assembly and packaging by working with electrical, thermal, and manufacturing teams

Prototyping & Manufacturing

  • Oversee the prototyping and manufacturing of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) for Proof of Concept (PoC) verification
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors to optimize material selection and manufacturing cost

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

  • Manage drawing releases for motor components and assemblies
  • Handle part releases and Bill of Materials (BoM) management in the PLM system
  • Implement Engineering Change Notice (ECNs) & Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to document design modifications
  • Maintain version control and proper documentation of design updates

Performance & Benchmarking

  • Conduct tear-down and benchmarking of motors
  • Evaluate new technologies, design improvements, and materials to enhance motor efficiency, power density, and reliability
  • Knowledge of thermal, structural, NVH & FEA simulations is a plus

Ideal Candidate

  • B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in motor integration, packaging, and mechanical design
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA) for motor components modeling and drafting
  • Strong understanding of DFMEA, stack-up analysis, GD&T, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in motor prototyping, material selection, and supplier coordination
  • Familiarity with PLM systems, ECN/ECR processes, and BoM management
  • Hands-on experience in motor benchmarking and testing is desirable
  • Knowledge of thermal, structural, and NVH analysis is an added advantage
