Role Summary
The New Product Introduction (NPI) organization is hiring a well-rounded Data Analyst with experience in supply chain optimization and specialization in data visualization. Ideally the candidate has Bill of Materials and production operations experience. The opening will be located at our Irvine, CA facility and reports directly to the Sr. Manager, NPI Production Control.
Responsibilities
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with various departments to deliver end-to-end solutions. This includes understanding business needs, data exploration, model development, validation, and deployment. \n
- Develop metrics and statistical models: Create tools that interpret trends and translate data into actionable insights, enhancing operational efficiency in a dynamic and flexible production environment. \n
- Data quality and assessment: Analyze supply chain data from native systems to predict and correct anomalous data, while also assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and collection techniques to ensure data accuracy. \n
- Data visualization: Present complex information using data visualization techniques and provide recommendations for the optimal path forward. \n
- Continuous improvement: Be proactive in seeking opportunities for improvement, utilizing sound quantitative approaches in statistics and mathematics to enhance the way we ask questions, find answers, and leverage data to drive business impact. \n
- Ad-hoc support: Be responsive to ad-hoc analysis and modeling requests from leadership, providing critical insights and solutions when needed. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, or statistics required \n
- 5+ years of experience in a related data field required \n
- Strong analytical / visualization skills in Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel, etc. \n
- Ability to explain complex topics to non-technical stakeholders \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment \n
- Strong Microsoft Suite Knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint) \n
- Automotive knowledge is a plus \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $150,000 - $173,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
\nBenefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
