Role Summary
The main objective of the pilot general assembly team is to deliver test assets to various teams and verify the main line production sequence and processes ahead of integration to the main assembly line. Pilot location and teams need to be very flexible as many program variants could be overlayed during the build process.

A Manufacturing Technician in the Pilot GA organization is a highly skilled, hands on, build technician who can build a full vehicle and is responsible for learning and maintaining a qualified skill set in all jobs within their assigned area. Manufacturing Technician are responsible for learning and promoting safety standards within their team. This position must communicate and interface with contractors, technician and leadership within assigned teams as well as other areas to ensure goals and standards are met. This role is located in Tustin, CA and reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- \nSupport and working together with your team to assemble or attach vehicle components \n

- \nPosition, align and install components, sub-assemblies & parts into vehicles \n \n
- \nPut together parts to build more complex assemblies \n \n
- \nRead and understand assembly instructions and follow established production procedures \n \n
- \nPromote contractor understanding of company vision and goals. \n \n
- \nActively supports management in the planning and execution of the DVB. \n \n
- \n
- \nUtilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum learning effectiveness. \n \n
- \nLead continuous improvement activities as needed. \n \n
- \nManage all parts supply, documentation and equipment (including work orders) required for your station(s) to operate \n \n
- \nObserve and provide coaching to contractor in the station to ensure standard work and processes/standards are being followed \n \n
Qualifications
- \n
- \nHigh school diploma or GED required. \n \n
- \n1-2 years of experience required, exhibits potential to grow further into larger roles with increased scope/complexity \n \n
- \nProduct and industry knowledge. \n \n
- \nTechnical expert of equipment in functional area. \n \n
- \nRemains flexible and responsive to changing conditions. \n \n
- \n
- \nIn-depth knowledge of manufacturing environment and processes. \n \n
- \nMust be able to complete, teach and oversee standard work at all relevant station(s) \n \n
- \nBe knowledgeable of safety protocols and reporting, MES operations and shop floor management \n \n

Physical Requirements:
\n- \nAbility to stand for 8-12 hours per day. \n
- \n
- \nRequired to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. \n \n
- \nAbility to lift and carry at least 25 pounds. \n \n
- Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather. \n
Pay Disclosure
Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $29.80-$33.65 hourly (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
