Role Summary

Our ideal candidate has focused experience in adult learning, classroom facilitiation, public speaking and instructional design with related exposure to the manufacturing and quality space, specifically in automotive manufacturing operations, safety, compliance, production. In this position the L&D Specialist will provide high-level program administration and facilitation. The L&D Specialist must be passionate about helping people learn and grow and will help our company succeed by creating a positive and engaging learning experience.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitate select Manufacturing Basecamp presentations and interactive activities.
  • Create learning materials including PowerPoint presentations, handouts and job aids.
  • Assist in the administrative tasks for Manufacturing Basecamp including maintaining time and attendance records for participants, uploading completion records in the Rivian Learning Network, maintaining administrative records for classroom management procedures. 
  • Assist in setting-up and breaking-down the classroom each day Basecamp is in session, printing participant table tents and preparing other Manufacturing Basecamp related documents.
  • Partner with People Experience Guides to manage reschedulings for Manufacturing Basecamp participants.
  • Provide exceptional service to questions and issues received from employees. 
  • Liase with the Technical Training Team and cross-functional partners to ensure all information and documents are transferred to the Rivian Training Center at Hamilton.  
  • Co-create and implement continuous improvement strategies in Manufacturing Basecamp.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Organizational Development, or related area of study
  • 3+ years of experience with proven success in similar role.
  • Working knowledge of training processes in automotive manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with admistartion of corporate LMS structures and training tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, concepts as well as development technologies and modalities.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, at times, ambiguous environment.
  • Proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain composure in a dynamic environment working with large cohorts of learners.
  • Able to create project deliverables with the use of a brand guide, Microsoft Office, Articulate Storyline & Rise as well as basic photo and video editing programs.
  • Organized with strong ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Clear and concise verbal and presentation skills, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, working knowledge of Excel.
  • Working knowledge of French or Spanish is preferred.
