Role Summary
Working together with your team, the Remanufacturing Technician II will be responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of selected Rivian powertrain and electric components returned from Service Centers. The Remanufacturing Technician II will safely and accurately record the condition of returned components during the disassembly EV propulsion systems (HV battery packs, Drive Units, and Power Electronics). During remanufacturing and reassembly, the Remanufacturing Technician II will be responsible for recording critical data to track reliability and quality. Ideal candidates would be one who is open to new ideas and loves to continuously learn. To be successful in this role you must have a customer-first approach, a quality core, and a team centered mentality.
Responsibilities

Primarily responsible disassembly, recording condition, and assembly of field return parts
\nSupport cross-functional teams to identify the root cause of issues
\nAssist Sr. Remanufacturing Technicians with part receiving tests, repairs, and end of line tests
\nInspect, identify, and accurately report inspection findings
\nSupport campaign and containment activities
\nPerform work in accordance with standard methods
\nPromote and maintain a safe and organized (5S) working environment
\nSupport production activities as necessary.
\nEmbody a collaborative team spirit in an ever-changing environment – working with field service, production, and product development teams to strengthening organizational learning
\nAbility to properly document repairs completed and in process
\nAdditional plant support, including travel, may be required depending on business need

Qualifications
- \n
High School Diploma or equivalent required
\nMinimum one year experience as an Automotive Repair Technician, Diagnostic Technician, or mechanical or electrical production experience
\nAbility to identify electrical and mechanical components used in EV propulsion systems (mechanical and electrical)
\nBasic understanding of testing low voltage electrical circuits
\nAbility to properly operate hand tools including powered and non-powered torque wrenches
\nStrong, verbal, and written communication and organization skills
\nWhen necessary able to convert to a production-oriented mindset and to meet output requirements.
\nAbility to travel domestically up to 30%
\nAbility to support alternate shifts and work schedules if needed
\nMinimum age of 21
\nNo driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
\nAbility to read and speak fluent English
\nNo drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
\nNo more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
\nMust have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
\nWill be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
\nAbility to stand for 8-10 hours per day
\nFrequent use of hands to handle or feel material during quality inspections and performing day to day responsibilities
\nOccasionally required to climb, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch
\nRequired to communicate using telephone and/or e-mail
\nAbility to read, view, and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOPs, and repair instructions
\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs
\nAbility to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather
