• Lead the design and manufacture of wind tunnel models and test assets.
• Manage the manufacturing, assembly, and logistics of test assets.
• Lead data acquisition systems and instrumentation, installing and specifying systems and sensors.
• Produce Engineering drawings for component manufacturing.
• Work with Aerodynamicists to develop new technologies.
• Support Aerodynamicists with parametric CAD models for CFD analysis.
• Design fixtures to test and validate designs and simulations across all fluid dynamics disciplines including aeroacoustics and soiling.
• Frequent domestic and international travel to test facilities

• Educated to a degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a similar role within the automotive or motorsport industry.
• Extremely high proficiency in parametric 3D CAD modelling (preferably Catia) is essential.
• A deep understanding of design for manufacturing.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; welding, turning, 3D printing etc.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• The ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
• Instrumentation and data collection experience (Pressure tapping, anemometers, load cells, LabView) desirable.
• Must possess the attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and changing environment.
• Minimum age of 21
• No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
• No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
• No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
• Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring

Salary range for California Based Applicants: $154,000-$192,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
