Role Summary

We are seeking a Director, HRBP to provide strategic HR partnership across our manufacturing teams. Our plant in Normal, IL is home to more than 6,000 employees and 500 members of our management team. Our manufacturing departments include Battery, Body, Stamping, Plastics, Paint, two General Assembly lines, Production Control, Maintenance and more. We partner with our manufacturing teams to bring our amazing products to life and delivered to our customers. The Director, HRBP will be assigned specific functional areas within Manufacturing to collaborate closely with plant leadership to optimize the implementation of full life-cycle HR and leadership programs in support of organizational effectiveness.


Responsibilities

Responsible and Accountable For:

  • All areas of talent development/talent management, including but not limited to: succession planning, promotion planning, compensation planning, org design, and employee engagement
  • Deep understanding of clients' strategy, goals and vision​
  • Employee relations - consultation, coaching, performance​
  • Leadership Coaching and feedback​
  • Offboarding: Exit Interviews (voluntary)​
  • Performance management initiation (including improvement & development plans)​
  • Executive onboarding and integration​
  • Organizational hiring support​
  • Functional talent strategy (attrition, retention, etc.)​

Consulted and Informed On:

  • Annual Compensation & Promotion: Program design, training design & development​, Reporting & Analysis
  • Operational reporting delivery and management​
  • Employee relations - investigations, inquiries, terminations for cause, separations​, policy counsel
  • Identification of internal people movement across organizations​
  • Continuous process improvement (including automation)​
  • Executive coaching program

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to determine the right organizational structure, skills and capabilities required to deliver against the strategy.
  • Develop organization specific people plan and roadmap to ensure the right people are in the right roles and the right locations at the right time.
  • Partner with Leadership Team to ensure effective execution of all primary HR processes.
  • Partner with Leaders to set the tone and culture required to create an environment where employees can do their best work.
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence to ensure talent is delivered to the needs of the function, team members are onboarded, developed, and rewarded effectively.
  • Advise, mentor and guide leaders.
  • Partner with People Team to ensure all complex inquiries are resolved appropriately.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 10 years of Business Partner and/or HR Leadership experience
  • 5 years of developing and leading a team of emerging and senior HR professionals
  • BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Communication, or related field
  • Advanced degree or top tier Leadership program completion preferred
