Role Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Learning Experience Design & Technology, this person will be responsible for day-to-day support of Rivian’s enterprise learning technology, with a focus on Rivian’s Learning Management System (LMS). This role will oversee the administration and technical management of our LMS and help to enable a culture of learning at Rivian.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing and executing the day-to-day management, supervision, administration, and governance of Rivian’s LMS and skills platforms
  • Program manage LMS integrations with internal and external systems, working across technical teams to meet defined outcomes
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to the LMS including errors, login difficulties, integration problems, and other system issues affecting end users
  • Coordinate and implement training launches for combined enterprise and manufacturing compliance training
  • Launch enterprise-wide compliance and general training programs, automating them whenever possible
  • Plan, test, implement, and support system design changes, modifications, and updates for existing and new learning management system features
  • Change manage new system features occurring in the LMS
  • Consult and advise the business to bridge business problems with learning technology solutions
  • Maintains relationships and collaborates with our chosen vendors to drive system adoption, awareness and ROI
  • Upload, publish, test, enroll, deploy and report on content including, but not limited to, online courses, tests, surveys, evaluations, documents, and instructor-led training
  • Train other LMS administrators for intermediate and advanced skill building (acting as the SME for our LMS)
  • Design and develop general training materials to support systems, tools programs and curricula across Rivian
  • Document and implement LMS standards to maintain consistency and accountability for system admins
  • Develop visual training data reporting for enterprise stakeholders
  • Monitor system performance, utilization, and system configurations to ensure uninterrupted operations and proper access for end users
  • Manage and monitor enterprise user groups
  • Make recommendations for system enhancements based on user feedback, surveys, and new technology offerings

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in LMS administration
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a Learning and Development department
  • Instructional design background with proven experience with authoring software (Articulate Rise, Camtasia, AI video tools, Gsuite and Adobe products etc.)
  • Expert with Learning Management Systems, particularly Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD)
  • Proven success executing against day to day operations of an LMS
  • Demonstrated ability to manage learning technologies and APIs that integrate with the LMS
  • Proven success resolving technical support tickets related to the LMS
  • Ideal candidates should have strong consultative, program and project management skills
  • Proven success in the development and execution of system communication plans related to the implementation of new training, systems, enhancements, and/or process changes
  • Proven ability to uncover gaps that lead to technical training resources development supporting a decentralized LMS population
  • Skilled at communicating, verbally and in writing, technical information in terms understandable to non-technical end users
  • Experience implementing complex system automation to support unique business conditions
  • Proven experience building training materials for systems and general training programs
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, apply problem-solving skills, adapt, and pivot quickly in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience creating requests for proposals and demoing new systems that meet defined business requirements

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 107,800 — 134,800 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
