Role Summary
As a Field Training & Enablement Manager, you will play a key role in coaching and developing Sales & Operations teams to achieve top performance results and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Training Managers are instrumental in managing large programs, creating content and curriculum, and facilitating both onboarding and ongoing enablement. You will own new market launches for both Retail Stores and Delivery locations within your region and will work with trainers to facilitate onboarding and role-readiness validations. In addition, you will focus on coaching leaders to maximize engagement, performance, and enable the business to hit KPI’s.
This role acts as a Rivian brand ambassador, working within the broader Commercial training team and alongside key business partners to identify, analyze, and execute training needs based on KPI’s. Rivian is looking for someone who has broad business acumen within sales and delivery, is experienced with high-end customer service, understands team leadership within a multi-unit Retail store environment, inside sales and can effectively coach, influence and advise stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own all training needs within your region from content development to facilitation, New Store Openings, and anything in between
- Partner closely with leadership to analyze the health of the business, team performance and KPIs in order to provide recommendations and deliver appropriate training solutions
- Deliver training across a variety of environments, both remote learning as well as in person, while adjusting facilitation style for various types of audiences from junior to senior levels
- Execute best in class training methods, tactics and approaches that effectively validate learning
- Support development and own the implementation of an on-going training strategy designed to promote continual learning and development
- Provide side-by-side feedback and coaching for Managers across Sales and Operations organizations
- Clearly communicate organizational updates and information to the team with an understanding of what is relevant and important to their business
- Design and administer post-training surveys and validations to evaluate effectiveness of training and readiness of employees
- Collaborate with stakeholders, the training team, and subject matter experts to develop, maintain and promote continuous improvement of all Sales and Commercial training programs & ongoing enablement
- Program manage last multi-facilitated enablement needs with impeccable project management skills, organization, communication, etc.
- Create Rise courses and corresponding enablement resources, decks, one-pagers, etc.
- Support the onboarding of new Sales & Customer Engagement members across Spaces, CEC, and Events
- Establish clear goals and objectives for market visits — communicate these objectives to Managers and stakeholders
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders to advise on operational and training gaps as well as propose solutions and implementation plans to address identified gaps
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a face-paced environment with a high propensity of change and you thrive in environments with ambiguity
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required, 7-10+ years’ experience within a multi-unit retail, inside sales, and/or customer service environment
- Experience with training, facilitation and content development in a customer service or sales support environment
- Experience directly managing teams and coaching team members across various levels and tenure
- Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with an upbeat, positive and professional attitude
- Ability to speak comfortably and confidently publicly
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and collaborate seamlessly on global and virtual teams in different time zones
- Experience in team leadership with minimum of at least one direct report
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
- User experience with both Mac OS X and Windows operating systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Pages, and Keynote programs a plus
- Experience within the technology, automotive and/or electric vehicle environment a plus
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: 137,800 — 172,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
