Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our growing team, focused on developing cutting-edge internal application software development. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performing applications on the AWS stack with a modern React.js front end. You will work in a collaborative environment where your expertise will drive innovation and enhance operational efficiencies in supply chain management.


Responsibilities

  1. Software Development:
  • Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and reliable supply chain software solutions.
  • Build responsive, dynamic user interfaces using React.js and ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Develop server-side applications leveraging AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, CloudFormation, and others.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  1. System Architecture & Design:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system architecture.
  • Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
  • Ensure system designs meet scalability, performance, and security standards.
  1. Technical Leadership:
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and peers.
  • Perform code reviews to uphold high standards of software quality and maintainability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and practices.
  1. Collaboration & Problem Solving:
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Analyze complex problems, propose effective solutions, and deliver results on time.
  • Ensure integration of software solutions with third-party systems and tools.
  1. DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure:
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines for seamless build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, availability, and cost on AWS infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Must be open to on-call duties during factory hours & weekends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience, Preferred)
  • Masters Degree (Preferred)
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience. (Preferred)
  • Expertise in either Python or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks like React.js; expertise in both are preferred.
  • Strong backend development experience using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.).
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
