Role Summary

Responsible for the complete lifecycle management of LVE service parts, from initial release through maintenance and change management. This role will require high levels of initiative, independent judgement and cross-team collaboration. Must be able to complete projects in a compressed timeline.


Responsibilities

  • Work with Service Engineers to develop and implement service parts strategies for low voltage electrical (LVE) systems across all vehicle models (R1, Van, and future).
  • Manage the complete service parts lifecycle, including part release, change management, and maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate and complete Service Bill of Materials (SBOM) through regular reviews and audits.
  • Resolve complex technical issues related to service parts, including engineering deviations, part release problems, and customer inquiries.
  • Provide expert technical support (SME) to cross-functional teams, including service engineering, field service, and downstream operations (catalog, new part introduction, demand planning).
  • Support field service actions related to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve interchangeability of existing service parts concurrent with the release of new service parts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, automotive technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in service parts engineering or related automotive fields.
  • Strong understanding of LVE systems, including diagrams, connectors, and standard repair procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Proficiency in Enovia and Catia V6 is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under stress/pressure.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $107k - $134k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
