Role Summary

The Social Strategy & Media team seeks a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to serve as both the operational backbone of the Social team and the right hand to the Sr. Manager, Social Strategy & Media. This role will ensure efficient project development, thoughtful planning and smooth team operations. The ideal candidate will combine operational excellence and strong creative sensibilities, speaking the language of both project management and social media creative operations. They will leverage their understanding of content production processes to make informed decisions about project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation in order to execute quick turnaround work. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to changing priorities and juggle multiple priorities at once.


Responsibilities

  • End-to-end project management for social media content, from intake to final delivery, ensuring all projects adhere to timelines, briefs and budgets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Develop and implement workflows and systems to track project creative development, content calendars, and multiple campaign production schedules.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including resource allocation, calendar management, administrative needs, status tracking, and approval routes.
  • Create detailed plans, status updates, timelines, workbacks, deliverables list and budgets to support social team projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Facilitate team meetings, track action items, and ensure timely follow-ups. Identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with Social Creators from concept to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within brief.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication, ensuring clear and timely information flow between the social team, cross functional partners, internal stakeholders, and/or external third parties.
  • Manage and maintain project management tools and platforms (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Slack) to support team collaboration and communication.
  • Document operational procedures and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate and schedule all production-related activities, including pre-production meetings, shoots, reviews, and approvals.
  • Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring easy access and version control.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows for the creation, review, delivery and quality control of social media posts.
  • Oversee the production of small scale real-time social shoots and support logistics coordination for event-specific real-time content creation, including travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in project management, producer or creative operations roles, preferably in a social media, content, or marketing environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smarsheet)
  • A collaborative spirit, an expert at building relationships and getting things done with a positive attitude
  • Good under high pressure and high volume, and expert multi-tasker
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to critically prioritize
  • Deep understanding of social media workflows, content creation processes, and best practices
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a willingness to pivot as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Familiarity with maintaining brand standards and best practices
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $87,300 to $109,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment
