Role Summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead Producer, Retail Events – West to own the planning, execution, and optimization of Marketing led retail events and programming across the Rivian’s priority markets in the western US region. This role is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality, customer-facing experiences across Rivian’s priority markets, flagship locations, and community-driven programs within the region.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Event Production, this role acts as the regional point of ownership for Retail Brand Events, Retail Partnership Events, Retail Exhibitions, and Local Community Events. The ideal candidate is a strategic producer with strong regional awareness, exceptional execution skills, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs while maintaining brand and experience standards.


Responsibilities

Regional Ownership & Leadership

  • Own end-to-end production of all retail events across the west region, serving as the primary point of accountability for planning, execution, and post-event performance
  • Translate national retail event strategy into regionally relevant, market-specific execution
  • Partner closely with regional Retail Operations, Field Marketing, Sales, CX, and Community teams to ensure alignment on goals, staffing, and customer journey
  • Act as the escalation point for regional event issues, risks, and live decision-making


Event Planning & Production

  • Lead the development of event briefs, timelines, staffing plans, and production schedules for regional retail events
  • Manage venue coordination, permits, vendors, agencies, and production partners across the region
  • Own regional event budgets, forecasting, spend tracking, and reconciliation in partnership with the Senior Manager
  • Develop and maintain detailed event documentation including run of show (ROS), contact sheets, risk plans, and production checklists
  • Ensure all events align with Rivian brand standards, retail SOPs, and safety requirements


Event Execution

  • Lead onsite execution for high-visibility and high-complexity retail events across the west region.
  • Oversee setup, live operations, and breakdown for retail activations, drive experiences, store events, and community programs.
  • Train and manage onsite staff, vendors, and partners to deliver consistent, premium customer experiences
  • Solve problems in real time with composure, creativity, and sound judgment
  • Travel throughout the western US to support retail events as required


Measurement, Optimization & Reporting

  • Track and report on regional event performance, including attendance, engagement, lead capture, and conversion
  • Deliver timely post-event recaps with insights, learnings, and recommendations for improvement
  • Identify trends and opportunities within the west market to inform future retail event strategy
  • Share best practices and market learnings with the broader Retail Events team
  • Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to supporting producers, coordinators, and temporary staff within the region
  • Collaborate with other regional Lead Producers to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across markets
  • Uphold and evolve production SOPs and workflows established by the Senior Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience producing retail, field marketing, or consumer-facing events
  • Proven experience managing multi-market or regional event portfolios
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, customer experience, and market-level execution
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable leading live events and making real-time decisions under pressure
  • Strong financial discipline with experience managing regional event budgets
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout the west region and work flexible schedules

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $112,100 to $140,100 for California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
