Scope3 is the industry’s leading collaborative sustainability platform. By modeling the complex digital advertising supply chain, we help brands measure and dramatically reduce digital waste to reduce carbon emissions from advertising and increase the efficacy of advertising investment.

We’re a well-funded startup with an accomplished leadership team — many of whom designed and engineered the digital advertising landscape as we know it today. The company secured $20M in Series B funding led by GV in Oct 2023 (additional investors include Venrock, Rucker Park, Room40 Ventures, and Craft Ventures). Scope3 has significant market traction with more than 70+ customers and is experiencing accelerated growth.

About the Role

As Business Development Director, Agencies, you will be a leader in driving our growth trajectory within the UK’s digital advertising landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of UK and Northern Europe, you will forge and nurture senior-level relationships with our largest agencies, and develop and execute strategic initiatives that deliver mutual success. Your ability to navigate complex organisations, identify high-impact opportunities, and create innovative solutions will be essential as you drive agencies efforts to decorbonising digital advertising for their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the adoption of Scope3’s global solutions across strategic agencies in the UK
  • Deliver substantial revenue growth within the agency segment
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with senior agency executives
  • Provide key market insights to inform and adapt Scope3's strategy to local nuances and opportunities
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with agencies, focusing on shared goals and mutual growth
  • Co-develop agency services and technology that leverage Scope3's collaborative sustainability platform
  • Act as a representative of Scope3 at industry events and client engagements, championing our mission and products

Your Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital advertising sales and partnerships, with a proven track record of delivering significant revenue growth in the UK
  • Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and media agency business models in the UK, and an established network of senior-level relationships with top-tier agencies
  • Strong analytical capabilities, both strategic and creative, with the ability to apply this insight to drive business growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating Scope3’s value proposition and inspiring stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a diverse and high-performing teams
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across different functions, demonstrating a deep curiosity about global business dynamics and an aptitude for understanding regional and cultural nuances
  • Agility and openness to the challenges of scaling a new business, with a comfortable approach to risk, uncertainty, and ambiguity
  • An inherent interest in and alignment with Scope3’s sustainability mission and corporate culture, contributing positively to our team dynamics and organisational ethos
