Scythe Robotics is seeking a passionate, multi-faceted People Operations Generalist who will oversee and deliver key HR programs and operations that support a positive, productive work environment and drive organizational effectiveness.
As a People Ops Generalist, based out of our Colorado office, you will work cross-functionally with leaders and teammates across the company to ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle. What you’ll do at Scythe
As a People Operations Generalist at Scythe, you will play a key role in supporting a seamless, people-centered employee experience. Your work will span across several core HR functions, including:
HR Operations & Compliance

Oversee daily HR operations and programs, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a high standard of support across the employee lifecycle

Maintain and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and internal resources in alignment with local, state, and federal labor laws

Manage our HRIS (Rippling experience a plus) and ensure accurate, efficient handling of employee data and processes
Employee Lifecycle & Experience

Lead and continuously improve core programs such as onboarding, offboarding, stay interviews, and exit interviews

Administer and optimize employee benefit programs, including enrollments, renewals, vendor relationships and employee communications

Serve as a trusted partner to managers on performance management, workforce planning, employee relations and team development

Manage sensitive employee relations matters with a thoughtful, solution-focused, and confidential approach
Talent Development & Engagement

Develop and manage training and development initiatives that promote continuous learning and professional growth

Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, review cycles, and employee development plans

Design and manage employee engagement surveys and feedback mechanisms, analyze results, and support leaders in turning insights into action
Strategy, Support & Special Projects

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior HR team members helping elevate the team’s overall impact

Contribute to key HR analytics and reporting, to provide insights that inform business and people decisions

Drive forward key HR initiatives and cross-functional projects that strengthen Scythe’s culture and operational excellence
What you know well
-
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Deep knowledge of core HR functions, with the ability to provide expert guidance on performance management, employee relations, policies, and compliance

Hands-on experience administering and continuously improving HR operations, including benefits, onboarding/offboarding, HRIS, and compliance practices

Strong cross-functional partnership skills, with a track record of aligning People programs with business goals and employee needs
- Working in an environment with a blended team structure, navigating the needs of hourly and salaried employees across remote, hybrid, and on-site setting

Ability to prioritize and execute work with a high sense of ownership, urgency, and a people-first, service-oriented mindset

A trusted, discreet approach to handling sensitive information with integrity and professionalism
What you’ve maybe done

Led or supported internship programs and school partnerships to strengthen early talent pipelines

Owned benefits administration and annual renewals, ensuring smooth execution and clear employee communication

Managed HRIS platforms (experience with Rippling a plus) and championed the effective adoption of HR technology

Built or maintained key resources such as employee handbooks, internal HR portals, and training libraries

Designed, delivered, and analyzed company-wide engagement surveys to help drive culture and retention initiatives

Launched or led Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) programs, creating inclusive experiences and empowering employee communities

Scythe is a total compensation company, which provides employees a comprehensive salary, equity, and benefit package. However, only the minimum salary amounts are listed here. Scythe carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including education, years of experience, competencies and other relevant business considerations. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary along with your compensation mode preferences. The People Operations Generalist II position has an expected annual cash salary of $90,000. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Equity and benefits packages are NOT included in this estimate. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only. We anticipate this role being an on-site position at our Longmont, CO office.
