As Chief Commercial Officer in the voluntary carbon market, you'll navigate a complex landscape. Your role centres on understanding diverse market mechanisms and ensuring they align with corporate sustainability goals. A critical aspect is ensuring the quality and credibility of carbon credits, focusing on verifiability and environmental benefits.
Adaptability is key, as evolving regulations and standards govern the market. You'll balance the financial aspects of carbon credits with their environmental impact, aiming for cost-effective, impactful investments.
Stakeholder education and engagement are vital, addressing knowledge gaps and building trust. Aligning carbon credit strategies with broader corporate sustainability and ESG goals is also essential.
Finally, you'll manage market volatility, developing strategies for risk mitigation and stable operations. This role demands strategic thinking, adaptability, and a deep commitment to sustainability.

- Creating and refining the systems and processes as well as training people on them.
- Find, train and build the commercial team in line with the strategy
- Lead, inspire, and grow the sales and marketing teams, promoting a culture of innovation and passionate curiosity.
- Continue our journey from <1-2m in ARR by 2025
- You own and continuously evolve the commercial strategy from sales playbook to marketing strategy.
- You need to be an outstanding communicator to navigate Mittelstand/corporate and Agile Start-Up Players simultaneously.
- Strategize and execute comprehensive commercial plans to establish Senken as a market leader in Germany and beyond
- Represent Senken at key industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings.
Marketing & Brand
- Cultivate and nurture key relationships by establishing Senken as Thought Leader, especially within the German speaking markets.
- Lead the journey to make Senken a thought leader in the international carbon market.
- Fluency in German and English
- Demonstrated experience in a high-level commercial role within an early-stage B2B startup environment.
- More than 8 years GTM experience
- Enterprise sales experience
- Background in environmental sustainability, preferably with expertise in carbon credits.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful product-market fit strategies.
- Extensive network within relevant industries, particularly in Germany.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team (Senken = 10 nationalities and counting)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting partnerships.
- You need to be able to communicate with the conservative German Mittelstand as well as partners & colleagues in the agile startups space.

Next to a competitive salary, you will only be the 3rd addition to our C-Suite (next to the two founders), and therefore, this position comes with an attractive share package.
