ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior Direct Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in the Supply Chain
team, ensuring seamless fulfilment of direct requirements and efficient sourcing of new direct
items. Your responsibilities will include:
● Procurement Execution: Actively execute procurement tasks to fulfil direct
requirements and source new direct items efficiently until delivery in the warehouse.
● System Updates: Ensure all system updates and processes are completed timely
and accurately.
● Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers of
direct materials.
● Cost Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the
most favorable agreements.
● Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of purchased materials meets company
standards and production requirements.
● Inventory Management: Coordinate with production and inventory teams to maintain
optimal stock levels.
● Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, new suppliers, and
cost-saving opportunities.
● Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain and material
availability.
● Process Improvement: Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance
efficiency and reduce costs.
● Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and
company policies, and prepare procurement reports.
● Supplier Performance: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure timely
delivery and quality standards are met.
YOU HAVE:
● Minimum 3 years of direct materials procurement experience, ideally in
manufacturing, preferably automotive.
● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain
Management, or Logistics.
● Ownership mentality with high integrity.
● Thrives in change and excels in high-pressure environments.
● Strategic, proactive, and adaptable.
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-centric mindset.
● Proficient in negotiation and sourcing strategies.
● Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
● Organized and detail-oriented.
● Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
● Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
