YOU’LL WORK ON:

You will work on developing new battery designs to be utilized at the heart of e-mobility solutions as well as to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility. You will follow through from specification to advanced stages of the product: based on the performance requirement, ensure comprehensive qualification and validation of the design, work alongside production and quality teams to ensure that scaled up products meet required specifications, and address inadequate product performance if necessary.

YOU'LL HAVE OWNERSHIP OVER:

• Developing specifications and design of battery packs of different sizes for use in electric vehicles.
• Sizing & Selecting components for battery packs and designing parts/subsystems inside battery packs.
• Designing structural elements, housings and fixations for Battery packs.
• Collaborating closely with the team for prototyping and testing your designs and making adjustments as needed from initial research and proof of concept to development of the final product version.
• Provide support throughout the planning of manufacturing of the electrical systems as well as through the manufacturing.
• Success:
• In 30 days: you will have developed a full design of your first product as well as initiated its prototyping and testing
• In 60 days: you will have tested your first product and initiated the planning for the small scale manufacturing plan.
• In 90 days: You will be overseeing the testing of the small production phase as well as collaborating with the team to scale up the production as needed according to our commercial plan. You will also work on design improvement based on testing as well as the company’s plan

YOU ARE:

• An energy engineer, renewable energy engineer or mechatronics engineer with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical engineering and a proven record of experience in the fields of energy storage, 3D CAD design, modeling and simulations.
• A self-initiator who is naturally energized by new ideas and insights from others, able to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time.
• Up-to date on latest technologies to continue to accelerate in-house technology development that will provide benefits in the ways of safety, reliability and cost
• Experienced using a variety of design, implementation and simulation tools such as Solid works, AutoCAD, Ansys or Simulink.
