We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Platform Team, with a focus on leading the design and development of our key sub-product. This product is a central usage and billing metrics engine—it measures the usage and performance of our products across the entire customer base. These metrics drive billing, analytics, and business insights. As a technical lead you’ll own the E2E pipeline - from data collection and processing, to visualization and customer reporting.
This role requires a deep curiosity about how the product works, a builder’s mindset, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You’ll have the opportunity to work across teams—from firmware to frontend—and contribute to Sibros' mission-critical data infrastructure.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design and development of Mothership, Sibros' platform for product usage measurement and customer billing analytics.
- Architect scalable and fault-tolerant data pipelines using technologies like Apache Beam, Apache Flink, and Google Cloud Dataflow.
- Define and implement core product metrics, enabling data-driven insights for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, frontend, and product to ensure seamless integration across the platform.
- Evaluate and leverage open-source and cloud-native data tools for streaming, batch processing, and storage.
- Translate customer needs and product requirements into innovative real-time data applications.
- Contribute to high-impact use cases such as trip processing, geofence alerting, and vehicle component health predictions.
- Thrive in a startup environment by taking initiative, wearing multiple hats, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
What you should know:
- Over 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong track record in designing and implementing large scale distributed systems.
- Willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in writing production-grade code in GoLang or Java.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Lambda, and cloud-native services, preferably in Google Cloud or AWS environments.
- Passionate about the vision and mission of the company, and interested in solving challenging problems in the automotive IoT domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven expertise in writing production-grade code in GoLang.
- Experience designing and building systems for large-scale IoT deployments, including data collection, processing, and analysis.
- Experience with streaming and batch processing models using open-source tools such as Apache Kafka, Flink, and Beam.
- Expertise in building cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience in working with large scale time-series databases such as Apache Druid, Clickhouse.
- Experience in working with streaming processing open source tools such as Apache Kafka, Flink.
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation package with performance incentives.
- A dynamic work environment with a flat hierarchy and the opportunity for rapid career advancement.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team that’s passionate about solving complex problems in the automotive IoT space.
- Access to continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Flexible working hours to accommodate different time zones.
- Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and wellness programs.
- A culture that values innovation and promotes a work-life balance.
