About the Role:
Job Title: QA Engineer – I
Experience: 0 - 1 Year
Reporting to: Chief Digital Officer
Job Type: Full-Time
This role blends software test automation and customer-facing support activities. Ideal for fresh graduates, it provides practical exposure to quality engineering workflows across validation, field testing, and L1/L2 technical support. The role is Pune-based with short-notice travel to customer sites as needed.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web, API, mobile, and backend platforms
- Participate in regression, functional, load, and system testing
- Use CI tools to automate and maintain test pipelines
- Track, document, and verify defects and test outcomes
- Handle L1 customer issues raised via email or ticketing systems
- Reproduce, triage, and support L2 issue resolution using logs and test tools
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams for fixes and updates
- Travel to customer locations for on-bench or in-vehicle testing, debugging, and validation
- Share weekly updates on support investigations and issue statuses
What you should know:
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Pune-based and willing to travel on short notice as needed
- An analytical mindset and the ability to debug technical issues using logs and internal tools
- Exposure to a programming or scripting language (such as Python or JavaScript)
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Familiarity with API testing using Postman or RestAssured
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, debugging tools, and CI/CD systems
- Awareness of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
- Academic or internship experience in QA or technical support
