By combining comprehensive project, funding, and partnership data with expert insights and advanced tools, Sightline empowers investors, corporates, and governments to navigate the complexities of the transition and capitalize on new opportunities. Sightline Climate also produces CTVC, the industry-leading newsletter read by 60,000 climate leaders.

We are looking for a Product Designer to lead design across the Sightline market intelligence platform. This is a critical role for someone excited to shape an intuitive, beautiful, and AI-native experience that empowers our users to explore data, surface insights, and take action.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design process—from research to wireframes to high-fidelity UI—for Sightline’s platform and new product features.

  • Translate complex data and technical insights into clear, elegant visualizations, dashboards, and infographics.

  • Drive user research and testing to ground design decisions in real workflows, pain points, and mental models. Work with Product to better understand corporate and investor clients and develop UX/UI patterns that lead to efficient and satisfying workflows.

  • Design and prototype AI-first workflows that enable users to query, filter, and analyze complex datasets through natural language and structured inputs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ship high-quality features quickly, continuously improving the UX. This role will report to the CPO and work day-to-day with Product & Engineering, and collaborate with stakeholders across Research, Data, and Editorial.

  • Develop and maintain a design system to ensure visual and functional consistency across the platform.

What You Bring

  • 4–6+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B, data, or productivity tools.

  • Strong proficiency in Figma (bonus for motion design, design tokens, or component libraries).

  • Demonstrated experience designing for AI or data-driven products—e.g., LLM-powered workflows, dashboards, or intelligent search.

  • Excellent visual design skills and a strong sense for UX craft, hierarchy, and clarity.

  • Comfort operating across low- and high-fidelity; fast and iterative with strong attention to detail.

  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills—you can justify design decisions and incorporate feedback effectively.

  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for systems-thinking, climate innovation, and building tools that help people think better.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with structured data, decision tools, or market intelligence products.

  • Background in energy and / or climate.

  • Interest in information architecture, content design, or service design.

  • Familiarity with front-end dev tools or design-to-code workflows.

What to Expect

We aim for the interview process at Sightline to take 2-3 weeks and for successful candidates will look like:

  • Initial interview with the hiring manager (20-30min)

  • Short take-home assessment (1-3hr)

  • In-person presentation of assessment to stakeholder panel (45min) and interviews with stakeholders (60min)

  • References and offer

Why Join Sightline

  • Help shape a product that’s actively accelerating the deployment of climate and energy solutions.

  • Work with a mission-driven, thoughtful, and ambitious team at a pivotal stage of growth.

  • Based in London working side-by-side with our team, with flexibility built-in.

  • Competitive compensation + generous stock options.

  • 25 days PTO + bank holidays.
