Job Description

SmartRent is seeking an experienced vice president of growth marketing to drive revenue growth and market expansion. In this role, you will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, leveraging digital channels and data-driven insights to acquire new customers. This leadership role will report to the CMO and will be highly collaborative, partnering with peers within the marketing, sales and product functions. As the leader of the growth marketing team, you will manage demand generation, website strategy, SEO/SEM, paid digital media, marketing automation, event marketing and marketing operations for the organization. The vice president will have a desire to work at both a strategic level and tactically on programs and campaigns. A strong cultural fit is critical - the vice president will lead humbly and prioritize winning as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and execute multichannel demand generation strategies and programs aligned to our target audience and support pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute demand generation strategies, utilizing a variety of channels such as digital advertising, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and events.
  • Align closely with the sales team and leadership to ensure marketing efforts convert into real opportunities and ultimately influence bookings and revenue.
  • Collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders, including sales, product management and the extended marketing team. Partner with the sales team to communicate and assess marketing campaigns, programs and tactics.
  • Leverage data analytics, A/B testing, and marketing automation tools to track and analyze key performance metrics, generate actionable insights, and optimize marketing initiatives for improved ROI.
  • Oversee the website and ensure it is a compelling sales and marketing tool for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the brand and communications teams to enhance brand positioning and messaging and ensure consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
  • Establish digital key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on them regularly - present results to executive management.
  • Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing growth marketing team, ensuring individual and collective success by providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Evaluate and ensure the digital marketing tech stack is effective and efficient.
  • Manage third-party contracts, vendors and the digital marketing budget. Evaluate emerging technologies and provide perspective for adoption when appropriate.
  • Stay current on all demand generation and digital marketing trends and suggest new strategies for growth.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of B2B demand generation/marketing leadership role with at least five years of SaaS experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering creative and effective earned (SEO/SEM, website, email), paid (PPC, event sponsorships, social), and owned channel (web, webinar) demand generation programs.
  • Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and marketing technology platforms to drive insights and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies.
  • A strong track record in partnering with sales organizations.
  • Commitment to leading with humility, curiosity, and transparency, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into the work.
  • Strong budget management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
