Job Description

As the Director of Demand Generation, you will lead SmartRent’s strategic initiatives to drive lead generation and pipeline growth. Collaborating closely with sales, product, and marketing teams, you will design and execute innovative campaigns that elevate brand awareness and accelerate revenue. This leadership role requires a visionary marketer who is data-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about scaling demand generation in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will be responsible for building scalable multi-channel campaigns that drive pipeline, nurturing leads through the funnel, and delivering measurable results. Success in this role demands a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the full-funnel demand generation strategy to drive pipeline growth and achieve business outcomes.
  • Lead multi-channel marketing campaigns, including webinar, print, email marketing, ABM (Account-Based Marketing), and more.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product marketing, and content) to align demand generation efforts with business goals.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive demand generation strategies that target both new customers and existing accounts.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to oversee the planning and execution of integrated campaigns that target key market segments across various digital channels.
  • Drive innovation by introducing new tools, trends, and techniques to improve campaign performance and engagement.
  • Partner with creative teams to develop high-impact marketing assets such as white papers, webinars, case studies, and blog posts.
  • Use data analytics to measure campaign performance, identify trends, and optimize strategies for lead generation.
  • Own pipeline and revenue targets for demand generation, tracking key KPIs such as MQLs, SQLs, CAC, and ROI
  • Continuously refine targeting strategies through customer insights and competitive analysis.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing demand generation team.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and accountability.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of proven experience in demand generation or growth marketing roles, preferably in SaaS and B2B organizations, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (In lieu of degree, equivalent related work experience).
  • This role requires expertise in Account-Based Marketing (ABM), deep-on experience with marketing technology tools like HubSpot, and a collaborative approach to align closely with sales and other cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong quantitative skills for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Strong sense of pipeline accountability and alignment with sales teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of North America’s business environment, including key verticals, buyer personas, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with C-Suite engagement and influencing without hierarchical authority.
