SparkCharge is seeking an Account Executive. As an Account Executive at SparkCharge, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, directly impacting our growth and success of our Mobile Charging as a Service. You will play a crucial role in driving new business and maintaining fruitful relationships with existing clients. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who excels in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about the EV industry. You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, negotiating deals, and closing sales to meet revenue targets. The position is fully in-office.

The Company

SparkCharge is a fast-growing cleantech start-up that is reducing barriers to Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption. We design, manufacture, and sell portable, Level 3 charging systems for EVs. We also provide “Mobile Charging-as-a-Service” (MCaaS) through our SparkCharge Mobile network, which allows EV owners and businesses to schedule an EV charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located.   • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the EV Fleet Charging Sector. Develop strategies to effectively target potential clients and convert leads into sales.
  • Account Management: Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and continued use of our services. Expand client relationships by proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs actively. Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
  • Presentation and Negotiation: Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the mobile operations and customer success teams to achieve better results.


Candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 2-3 years in sales, preferably within the EV, EV Charging sectors
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and experience with CRM software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; capable of building strong client relationships and delivering client-focused solutions.
  • An aptitude for understanding technical products and their benefits.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for sustainability and advancements in the EV industry.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet potential clients, attend industry events, and drive sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.

The Company pays over 90% of health insurance premiums for employees. We offer FSA savings and 401(k) plans. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s ability to quickly add value to SparkCharge. This position offers a competitive commission structure based on sales performance.
