Community & Marketing Coordinator
About Every Electric
Description
Community & Marketing Coordinator
Full-time · Hybrid (3 days/week in our Brooklyn Navy Yard office) · New York City
About the role
The Community & Marketing Coordinator owns how Every Electric shows up in public, reporting directly to the founders. You will run our marketing and content, build the community and partner relationships that grow our footprint, and keep the office and team running day to day. It is a broad, outward-facing role at an early-stage company: you will work directly with the founding team, see every part of the business, and have a clear path to grow as the company scales.
We work AI-first. We expect everyone here to use AI tools daily and to build lightweight tools and workflows of their own rather than waiting for engineering. Comfort with AI tools matters more to us than years of experience.
What you’ll do
• Marketing & content: Lead our marketing and content efforts to get Every Electric in front of the right people. This includes running our social media presence and producing content across formats, from static graphics to video, using AI tools to work faster and produce more.
• Community & partnerships: Build and deepen the relationships that grow our footprint. This includes planning and running in-person and virtual events, developing outreach initiatives with community organizations, property managers, and housing authorities, and partnering with creators to extend our reach.
• Customer & stakeholder education: Help diverse audiences understand what we do and why it matters, such as developing educational materials and explainers tailored to different communities.
• Measurement & media presence: Measure and track what is working across marketing and community, such as following analytics and conversion by channel and monitoring our media presence and sentiment, with AI-assisted tooling where it helps.
• Multilingual communications: Support communication across languages and cultures, such as creating content or translating for communities in their own language.
• AI-enabled operations: Use and build AI tools to streamline your own work and the team’s, from drafting and research to automating recurring workflows.
• Office & team operations: Help keep our Brooklyn Navy Yard office and the team running smoothly day to day, including supplies, vendors, and event logistics.
Who you are
• Content creation: The ability to make a graphic, cut a short video, and write a post that sounds like a person, and to ship all three in the same week. We weigh what you have shipped more heavily than years on a resume.
• Community and partnerships: Comfort with in-person, community-facing work in New York City, including events, tabling, and building relationships with community organizations and building partners.
• Communication: Clear, professional writing, with the ability to explain a technical program in plain language to a resident, a building manager, or a reporter.
• Organization: The ability to run several campaigns, events, and deadlines concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• AI-assisted productivity: Daily use of AI tools to draft, research, and automate, and the initiative to build lightweight workflows without waiting for engineering.
• Breadth: Willingness to own the execution part of a startup from office admin to event load-in.
• Domain interest: Interest in energy systems, grid modernization, and clean energy access for underserved communities.
Nice to have
• Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another language commonly spoken by New York City residents.
• Experience with multifamily or affordable housing, community solar, or utility energy programs.
• Hands-on with design and video tools (Figma, Canva, Adobe, CapCut) and with a CRM or marketing automation platform.
• Experience at an early-stage company, or running your own community, newsletter, or event series.
Logistics & compensation
• Schedule: Full-time, hybrid — 3 days/week at our Brooklyn Navy Yard office, with a daily 10 AM standup; fast-paced.
• Compensation: Base salary of $60,000–$70,000, plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and a flexible leave policy.
Every Electric is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate all candidates on the basis of merit and job-related qualifications.
