Responsibilities:
General
- Collaborate with the ESS and EMS-Edge product leads and teams to define product requirements and support the development of new capabilities
Energy Storage Systems
Collaborate with the Tech team to develop and maintain a modular ESS product configurator tool
Review technical documentation for the onboarding of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) hardware
Test Stem’s Modular Energy Controller (MEC) with different DC block and Power Conversion System (PCS)/inverter combinations, including reviewing the communication interface between the MEC and the OEM hardware
Maintain key ESS documentation, including an up-to-date Partner Content Library (PCL), Single Line Diagrams, and Stem’s ESS Product Matrix
EMS-Edge
Facilitate “release to sales” and “release to delivery” processes and checklist
Develop, curate, and manage technical documentation related to EMS, PPC, and SCADA solutions
Develop and manage work instructions for high-availability SCADA, both VMs and Clustering
Contribute standardized language for EMS and edge contracting, proposal, and warranty documentations.
Product Requirements
Support the development of detailed product requirements for ESS hardware, MEC, cloud software, and edge components in collaboration with technical product management and development stakeholders
Support detailed development planning efforts with contributions to user stories and general subject matter expertise
Requirements:
/Master’s degree in engineering (preference for electrical engineering), computer science, business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development, and/or market entry
3+ years of hands-on experience in the energy industry, specifically with energy storage, with solar experience a plus
Working knowledge of battery technologies, PCS, system integration, control hardware, and EMS
General knowledge of energy market fundamentals
