What we are looking for:
Stem is seeking a Production Operations Technician to join our team at our Longmont, CO office. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Operations Technician performs a wide variety of technical responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include promptly resolving issues on the production floor, serving as the technical point of contact for the production teams, and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales, engineering, procurement, support and development teams to ensure all necessary information is provided for each job entering Production.
- Maintain strong working relationships with drafting engineering team.
- Respond promptly to production floor issues, carry out daily operations in NetSuite to meet tight shipping deadlines.
- Act as a technical expert and primary point of contact for Production’s Line Stocking, Assembly, Configuration and Drop teams.
- Assist the Production Operations Engineer with inventory transactions and counts.
- Review production picklists and modify work orders for material substitutions.
- Drive process improvements based on feedback and implement approved changes.
- Play a key role within the production operations team for production projects & improvements.
- Support the training of production team members.
- Assist in developing production department processes.
- Contribute to the ISO9001 process.
- Own the Production Rejection Process.
- Assist the production operation team with documentation maintenance and creation process.
- Enhance production team efficiency and output through continuous improvement efforts.
- Foster effective communication channels across key members of each department.
- Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- Perform detailed, accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Technical skills: Microsoft Office, Data entry, Research and data analysis; Python programming preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of user interface communication, technical writing, cloud networking and file sharing.
- Minimum 1 Year of experience in an Electrical Test Technician position within the Production Department.
- Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems or electrical circuits is highly recommended.
- Experience with Modbus, RS232/RS485, and TCP/IP communication protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Proficient in English
Work Environment:
- Warehouse Setting.
- Moderate to high noise levels (i.e. warehouse with power tools, machinery, high traffic).
- Ability to sit or stand (standing desk provided upon request) at a workstation terminal for an extended period.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate (talk/sign/type/write) and operate a computer, telephone (or alternative), keyboard (or typing device), etc.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
